Description
Friday 21st February
10am to 3pm
at Jennie’s home in central Lechlade.
Limited places.
Want to make your first steps into weaving but no idea where to start? This fun one-day workshop explores a number of techniques to create texture and ultimately a contemporary wall hanging.
Using a custom-designed frame loom, you will learn how to warp your loom, basic weaving techniques, including Tabby, Rya Knots, Rya Loops, Soumak, Twill and Hopsack and how to finish and hang your piece.
A huge range of yarns and materials will be available for you to play to your heart’s content – sari silks, ribbon and braids, textured fabric, textured yarns, fine yarns and threads, metallics, roving and some surprise materials to work with!
The best bit? Your loom is included in your workshop and you get to take it home!
Our unique design of loom fits neatly into a small bag and is great for taking on your travels or whipping out at home when you fancy some crafty time. No huge pieces of equipment to set up, you can create on the go.
